hello i have a toyota hilux 1987 diesel 2wd i am lookin into replacing the diff with one that will improve its top speed i was wondering how to tell the ratio of hilux diffs eg on a kingswood diff there is a sleve where the drive shaft meets the diff it is where the ratio is printed any help would be good thanx

It's on the build plate in the engine bay. Look for the 4-digit axle code and compare it to the list here:
