does any1 know where a weigh bridge is in melbourne as well as if it is free or not?
any ideas how we would find one either?

THere's one off Boundary Rd in Mordialloc. Its down a side street between Playhouse and Lower Dandenong Rd. Theres a small sign with an arrow pointing downt he street.

I use 1 of 2 in Dandenong.
And yes they are free.

If you check your melways, there's a section thats gives u the location/address of all the weighbridges in melb. there are quite a few
As someone else also mentioned above, i'd like to know if the weighbridges are manned and if there all free?

OK, i didn't realise so many people cant find weigh bridges....
I dont hav a Melway with me, but i'm pretty sure the address of the one i went to was: Verey Court Dandenong. Opposite Dandenong show grounds.
Theres no big sign saying weigh bridge (well i didnt see 1).... so just look clearfully or just hop out and ask sum1 in 1 of the work shops in the area. When u find the weigh bridge is actually apart of the ground ur probly now standing on while asking a lady though a window where it is.... just smile and ask her if she can give u the weight of ur car. (thats what i did  )
Drive ur car on and the nice lady will tell u ur cars fat and needs a diet... then will give u the weight to the nearest 10kgs i believe it was. It shouldn't be a problem.
And for the 86 guys, for u to compare ur car against... mine weighed 880kgs. (4ag with 15" rims, 2 stock seats and a spare tyre pretty much).

If u still have problems finding it... just PM me and i'll grab a Melway and spoon feed you it.

THe weigh bridge i went to was 'wo'manned. A old chick was inside a little building next to the weighbridge and the computer in there showed her the weight.
And it was free. She said its free cuz its a public service or sumthing like that... mainly used by trucks that require knowledge on there weight for safety reasons (such as MAX load... sum trucks have to be below a certain weight to be allowed to drive on certain roads, etc). She also offered to print out the weight of my car, as some trucks require a print out of the trucks weight for whatever reason.
