specialist info on paint is so easy to get from any paint retailer.But.If you require info from non specialists-apparently surfaces like stainless or gal need etch primer where mild steel does not.If your mild steel has been left bare metal for any period at all [over an hour or 2] it should be "rust converted" before being primed.
Seriously though, for a good result get the right advice and please remember that paying a little extra to stay with a product range that is designed and formulated to work together ie wattyl products or any reputable Australian brand will put you in front and also allow you to access reliable product info and advice.Ask a proffessional for advice and take some cash with to buy some good shit, will save a lot of your labour by doing it once only......Best of luck!
