so if you put an aristo model in a car then a supra model in a car the sumps wont hit even if they are forward or at the rear and bolted up to the same spot

Can you do anything about the fact your mate has a bigger penis?
Maybe a penis conversion is inorder not an engine conversion.

looked a 5.7 from an ss commodore for my hiace but decided to go turbo as it a bit cheaper but did consider twins for the 5.7 in my van but space was the biggest factor

let me be the first to offer you a rear sump as a straight swap for whatever 1J sump you have mr topsecret! I am not normally known to be so generous as the rear sumps are like gold and highly sought after!!!!!!!!!!! But i am feeling as I should help you after unkind references to tackle dimensions.
I do seem to remember one very fast Van at the drags???
No,you cant turn the sump around. You definitely need to send me your worthless front sump and I will send you my highly prized rear sump.Cheers.Pete.

You're sure based on what exactly?
US-spec Supra's regularly dyno 400+ hp at the wheels with stock turbos. A JDM Supra won't even get close to that.

Go hang around supraforums.com for a while. Seriously, this is common knowledge and they've been doing it for years over there.
If you have any facts to bring to the discussion let's hear them, but incorrect assumptions won't help anyone.

im not arguing it cant be done with these us spec turbos, im just saying that a motor that came out with 320hp, to make about 530hp (about 400atw) i dont think its highly safe and reccomendable to use stock turbos and just keep upping the boost until they are at their peak performance.
but hey, im the cautious type, maybe thats why i spend so much money and my motors last so long. touch wood.

I hope you're not reffering to your 302 and 7m, they haven't actually done much work. Touch wood

the 7m has done 250000 since i rebuild it, and it cops about 1 hour everyday of ass flogging. And the motor is 240000km old. Guess i musta rebuilt it ok eh?
agreed the 302 has done sfa work, but at least i have confidence it wont fail on me. nor overheat on a track. i take no shortcuts hence it works out. If you had seen what effort has gone into the car youd get a rude shock and actually respect what i have done. It certainly hasnt been a "bolt in a 1j and lets fly" conversion.

Meh my 5M-E has a total of ~325,000 on it With 40000 since I rebuilt it...meh.

If that's a reference to me
Al thought considering when you started you conversion, and when I started mine, you need to pull your finger out, or my "bolt in a 1j and lets fly" conversion will be happily driving me around why you still sit and think about your push rods pushing
Cheers

Although I have never seen your MA61 im sure youve done a great job and I respect that.
But I don't understand why you would say "my motors last so long" when one has done 24,000km and the other some idling, unless you have built some other motors that I don't know about
