ok, i have a 7MGE and i get a puff of blue smoke when starting the car which is valve stem seals. But at high rpm, say 4000+rpm i get smoke as well. Is this valve stem seals or are my rings dead?

Smoke under WOT suggests rings.
Smoke under vacuum suggests valve stem seals.

The only 100% sure way to check is to replace and see if it still does it.
