Does the 1st , 2nd & 3rd gears on w55 interchangeable to w57 ?
4th & 5th are the same ratios

I'm not sure if the layshaft's between W55's, W57's and W58's are the same or not.

The gears on the layshaft are welded on and hence are not changeable...If the layshafts are indeed different then no you won't be able to change those gears (at least easily).
