TA27 Celica, Need LSD, Suspension upgrades Wed, 17 August 2005 07:26 Go to next message
Hello all its been a whole while since I posted last up here I have a Jap spec TA27 Celica and I would like too get the follwing

1) LSD
2) GAS adj shocks or some good ones too replace the worn out ones I have in the car now

3) sway bars

Since the TA27 was never imported into the usa and the TA22 shock inserts and the RA25 Front inserts for the struts are completely differnt from the TA27 I need some help with x-refrence some replacement ones

4) Brake upgrade for the fronts only.

any help and sugestions would be grate but if you have something for sale like this Im located in USA so shipping from aussie too usa can be for the most parts very costly.

thanks

Australia Never got the TA27 either so parts are few and far between, River may have a better idea than I however

1) LSD for these are rare, Your best bet is to find a Sprinter owner and see what they have. You should have a T series diff in it and may find a JDM sprinter diff will fit Thou axles may differ.

2) Find what people over there use in their TA22's and use them

3) As per 2

4) Search for TA22 brake upgrades, starting point

As far as I'm aware the TA27 has the front setup of a TA22 (concidering it shares the same engine and hense probably crossmember and struts.) I may be proven wrong however.

What is the ID code on the build plate? TA27-???

If the shock inserts for the ta22 are the same as the ra28, ra23 or ta23, read no further.

Have you tried using the shock inserts from a ra28 ra23 or ta23?

I am unsure of the difference of ta22 shock inserts vs xA23, RA28 ones. But if the ra28, ta23 and ra23 are different from the ta22 it may be worth trying them.

RA29 for you guys over there...

Our RA28 is your RA29 (in basic form ignoring the different engine and some inteior differences)
