First off, did the 4AGZE 4ae92's come out with MAP or AFM sensors? If they were MAP which gen were they (Gen2 im guessing?)
BTW: I searched for this but couldnt find it
And, last one, if the ae92 GZE's came with MAP, is there any difference with the sensors or are they the same?
cheers

there were two types of AE92 gze's....
pre 10/89 and post 10/89 (month may vary a little)
basically... AFM or MAP.
AFM was a bigport 4A-GZE, with 7 rib block, and coil packs.
MAP was a smallport 4A-GZE.
These are two VERY VERY different motors. Very very few parts are the same between them, in terms of being "identical"

I think the map's have slightly more hp if that's waht you're after...
Unsure if the map's come with coil packs though...

the only differences i know of going from AE92 MAP to AE101 MAP 4A-GZEs are....
# lighter and potentially weaker rods on the AE101 (same rods as 20V, not as meaty as the AE92)
# Twin exhaust system on the AE101, hence the extra coupla kW in factory rated outputs.
# Far greater likelyhood of getting an LSD E58 g'box in an AE101 than an AE92.
# AE101 ECU's have serial data output, and slightly different pinouts
thats all i can think of now...
