Mr2's + Intercoolers (AFM 3SGTE related question)

I've just installed a custom intercooler that I had purchased of somebody, After finshing the install from fiddling around all day (modifying hoses, rewiring and cutting afm loom to reach afm.)
The car will start but will stall? I had only tapped the wires and wrapped with electrical tape but im now soldering it. I suspect the wiring. But could this setup be too big for afm?
Has anybody installed a setup similar to this? Ive got a GEN 2 3SGTE. It runs rich and you can hear the afm flaps trying to open/close

its a flap style afm in the 3sgte????
if it is make sure that the afm is positioned so that the top side is facing up as gravity can cause the afm flap to stay closed so it will stall at idle.....
just something ive experienced with my gze mr2

terra wrote on Sat, 20 August 2005 20:35 | is the IAC after the afm?
doe sit stall if you hold partial throttle?
edit: i noticed you cut afm wires.. bad bad bad idea.. open her up and check afm voltage, at idle it should be 5v (or 4v - its a negative scale) or so
the afm shoul dbe b4 the turbo (after filter)
if its anything like what comes on a 7M / 3VZ then its good for around 400hp b4 you start lookign elsewhere, just that tuning with a flap style at those hp numbers starts getting a bit tricky

yes it does stall at part throttle
the afm is before the air filter, and before intake side of turbo.
