yeah good luck. i believe no "generic" auto store (autobarn, super cheap auto, ect) has anything for a 1g. You usually have to order it in. ring the local toyota dealer or something to see if they can help.can you just use that gasket maker goo stuff?????

Cheers for the quick reply. Figured as much. I might just use the gasket that is already attached, its not gone crusty or anything.

While the covers are off is it worth cleaning up the cams? If so whats the best way to go about it?

Cheers
Benen

omg thats rediculous. Is it safe to use the old ones? They seem fine. Still soft. Anyone got anything to say about cleaning the cams?

Cheers

As long as the seals are sealing and they have no cracks, I see no problems in reusing them.

liquid nails!

Whatever you do, don't just use goop - you gotta have the rubber in there too. If you have to, use a bit of goop in the corners, but go easy damnit!
