MR2 - turbo 4 sale sw20 - pics up lots of them	Mon, 22 August 2005 02:24

ok guys my mates mr2 is for sale it was the aus spec converted to a 3sgte. this is the problem the motor cought on fire and now the engine bay is burnt out. there is a smashed rear window and the wiring would have to be re done. other then that the car could be rebuilt no dramas. the seats has be re-trimmed full leather black and yellow. the model is a 1991. has the 94 + lights and rear mold. the car also comes with 18" momos. has a 3" exahsut etc went well. the whole car is for sale not parts at this stage. $4500 ONO. contact him on 0410580722 or pm me. If you could pass me through some pictures/more info to jamescol@optusnet.com.au as well that'd be great. Minus the engine being frizzled, hows the body work? Some pictures of the damage would be appreciated as well. Also, gen 2 3s-gte I'd assume? What gearbox? Have a gearbox code at all for it? Or at least know if its LSD or open? He belives its a LSD box, the gen 2 did come out of a 93 mr2 so the chances of the LSD box is very very high, the body, is straight, there are some sractches and scuffs, but for more info you are best to contact him on 0410580722 his name is Dony. and for those that do want to know its black in color as soon as i have these images i will post here and emails also. Possibly he can test if its a LSD box by jacking the back end up? I have money waiting mate and can organise transport to get it for me, just wish to see some piccies first, primarily of the interior, and the damaged areas. Its the big rear windscreen thats broken? more to add here i forgot about has a system, pioneer deack 7x10s amp. etc also has EMS stinger (new) computer still will work but will have to be re wired aslo. will price will be $4500 firm not neg. [Updated on: Tue, 23 August 2005 05:30] [Report message to a moderator]

hey, im interested in the MR2, can you tell me the condition of the bodywork around the engine bay with regard to fire damage? i take it the rear window smashed due to the heat. also, is it available minus extras, ie, 3SGTE, computer, wheels and sound system? [Report message to a moderator]

it is looking indeed a fair bit fubared.. Someone forget to install some new orings in the injectors or something? Anyhow, any ideas on the status of the firewalls, any warpage from heat? Was it an insurance job, if so, is the car considered a repairable writeoff etc? If the car was accessed was there any structural damage found. Thanks, James. what you see is what you get inc ECU, 3sge + burn 3sgte and all the extra parts the whole package.
