|
|
Okay here is the new thread with all the info up the top for everyone. I've also taken it as Adrian can't get online much these days.
Where
Beninca Automotive
581 Canterbury Rd
Surrey Hills
Map at bottom of page.
When
10th September 2005
FWD: Starting 10:00am
RWD: Starting at 12:00pm
AWD: Starting at 4:30pm
Note: If you are not there on time your slot may be given to someone else and you may not get on the dyno.
Cost
$20 for Front and Rear Wheel Drives
$25 for All Wheel Drives
No deposit required, pay on the day.
Includes
> Speedo check at 100km/h
> A/F ratios
> Power and torque curve
> Peak power and torque @ RPM
(if you came to the last dyno day, it'll be the same)
Teh BBQ!
There will be a BBQ on the day, this will include:
> Soft Drinks of various flavours
> Snags
> Onions
> BBQ/Tomato sauce + mustard
> Perhaps some tofu for the spoontah boys.
> Bread
There will be a charge for all the above stuff, but it wont be much.
If you want anything else to be cooked, bring it along and we'll chuck it on the BBQ.
Dyno stats
Total power capacity 900Kw. Higher in ramp phase
Max speed 250kph
18Kw centrifugal double rotor-cooling fan. External to cell for maximum test area.
Sound proof cell.
Longitudinal ventilation with noise attenuation on air exit.
Atmospheric corrected power temperature, humidity and barometric pressure
Ramp, steady state, ECU mapping, kms travelled functions
Data stream IN and OUT from dyno PC to correlate data from vehicle ECU (Autronic data stream) OBD and other communication protocols in future.
2.1 to 4.15 meter wheelbase. ( Ford F350 158 inch wheel base )
Wireless hand control
A/F ratio input, thermocouples, pressures, etc
Compare data functions
Large screen oscilloscope 400mm for ignition and knock pattern display.
The list is now full. Now taking reserves...
If you want to rock up anyway, you're more than welcome to, if there's space, we will chuck you on the rollers.
Map:
Parking on Stirling Crescent.

Don't NEED more, but if we get some more, then there wont be any need for a deposit. Otherwise yeah, I have a paypall account (I think it still works) or you can netbank it over to me (I'm with commonwealth). But first lets see if we can get a few more so we don't need a deposit.

Sure can, but you'll have to make sure you're there early to slot in before the machine is re-set from RWD to AWD.

I see a common trend here.. Let me help you all out.
YES! You can bring your car. (it would help with getting a dyno reading)
YES! You can bring ya friends. (if they bring their car, even better)
YES! The more the merrier. (I'm sure the dyno guys wont mind an extra $20 - $25 hear or there)
So keep them confirmation posts rollin' in.

Do we get the air fuel ratios on the print out of our dyno sheet (ie do they stick the air sniffer up the zorst during the run)?

Is it too late to get in on this? If i have time to whip out to Toyospares and back again by the time the AWD's are running i'll swing by. Using the stock ST205 figures and 25% drivetrain loss i should be getting about 130-140awk but it only seems to want to run about 7psi.
*shrugs*

I'm yet to ring them, but with 35+ people we wont have time to do A/F ratios. I'll confirm this later, but speed check at 100, power and torque curve with peak power and peak torque @ RPM should be shown. I'll call 'em.
And Ben, don't have time to organise hot chicks! To much to do!

I dont see how an A/F Ratio reading would take longer to do, both times i've been there, no matter how many cars, there is a print out of the A/F ratio. speed check is done with calibration of the dyno for your respective run.

I imagine they have to hook up the thingo to the tail pipe, which takes time. I'll ask.

Naw should be good.
Anyone interesting in organising the BBQ? I don't have a portible one. Might organise a pizza run or something on the day if nobody has a bbq to bring.
