	| hard shifting when engine reaches normal operating temps... | Tue, 23 August 2005 08:41 | | |
	| when cold, it shifts fine like a brand new car would shift, but as the engine heats up to normal operating temperature, hard shifting occurs. just replaced the tranny fluid with a new one, clutch lining, pressure plate and release bearing are 6 months old, just used the car on sundays wherein the streets aren't busy....,... but still the problem persisted.
this problem occurs on a full stop especially on traffic days.

it would change gears fine if the car is moving.

engine is a 7age in an ae101 sedan.

	| sounds like the gearbox oil is too thin, ie when its hot, it gets too thin and isnt working properly. | |

	| first, figure outif this is a clutch or transmission problem. clutch dragging.
 how's reverse - cold & warm?
 that'll tell you if it's dis-engaging OK.
if it's OK, then it's the trans, but i really doubt it, and different oil wouldn't help in any case.

different gear oil does help, sometimes, in the opposite condition of difficult shifting when cold but fine when warm.
