howdy, the diff center will be a straight swap, im not sure about the whole setup. im not too sure but id say that the t18 has bigger brakes anyways so it would be better to just use the center. either way the t18 center is a better center.

well correct me if i wrong, but would it be better to have the TA22 diff with a ratio of 4.1:1 or the T-18 diff ratio of 3.9:1, and i dont really understand how they work in a diff i just got told a TA22 diff picks up speed quickly compared to the T-18 diff.

almost positve the TA22 bolts straight into the T18 rear end, they are both Tseries diff housing's.

Do a search in the tech section im sure its been covered many times before otherwise ask a wrecker they know

I seem to remember reading somewhere that the bolt hole spacing on the tailshaft flange is different between the T18/AE86 diff and the Celica T-series? I could be wrong, but it might be worth checking...

The TA22 centre does bolt straight into the T18 housing as they are both Tseries diffs.

Ive got a locked TA22 centre in my 86.

Be careful, early TA22's have a D series diff.

I also did this, the only difference is that one or two of the bolts of the ta22 diff center need to be used because the t-18 ones are longer in one spot.
