ae101 antenna removal

Hi,
does anyone know how to remove the antenna in an ae101 corolla?
I have tried to remove it, but it seems to just be getting stuck, also there is a long white tube-like 'thing' attached to it.
any help anyone?

it unplugs down near the kick panel on the driver's side. that long white tube 'thingy' makes it slightly easier to feed a new one in.
BUT
tie string to the old aerial cable before you pull it out. then tie that string to the new one before you try push it thru. that way, you'll save about an hour of dicking around.
as for the old one getting stuck...make sure you've unplugged it down near the drivers kick panel first, and if it still gets stuck, just yank it out. only way to do it.

Thanks for all the info mate. I won't be needing to put a new one back in, the car is junk now.. someone just wanted the antenna from it... weird huh?

lol no worries.
i've got a brand new antenna sitting here still in the bag, waiting to go into my wifes car...when i find the time - she gets dodgy reception in certain areas around adelaide..
