RA65 Rear disc brake conversion

I've picked up a MA6x complete diff and sub frame and I have searched but I want to make sure I don't need anything else for this conversion (like an MA6x brake master cylinder) before I start and what if any modifications need to be made to the current brake lines in the RA65. Has anyone carried out this conversion them self? I apologize in advance if I've missed a thread with this information but I couldn't find it.

You'll need the brake bias valve to maintain the right front/rear bias. And the handbvrake cables (i'm guessing you got those too)Not sure about the lines etc.
I'm going to be doing a similar thing myself into my ra65, have the rear semi-trailing arms off a corona + bias valve (solid disc, unfortunatley, not vented  )

Hi i did this swap on my ra65 about a year ago. it was unbolt the old sub frame and bolt the new one up then bleed the brakes.
brake bias i never touched that on mine and the brakes seem to be fine.
the brake lines are the same, well where on the one i got.
I payed $600 for mine and then i sold the old rear end for $150.

There should be no difference because the RA65/SA63 uses the same disc pads from the MA61 so there wouldn't by any bias on the brakes required

 wtf? The RA65 & SA63 have rear drums stock. Ideally you need to swap the RA63/SA63 brake bias valve out for the Ma6/1 one, as discs require a lot less pressure (IIRC) for the same amount of braking. All else being equal, if you swapped the rear drums for discs, the back would lock up more quickly.

That is from memory...
As for locking up... Someone on the forum can vouch that my MA61 rears locked up earlier then my front for some reason when we were testing the MA61s brakes. We haven't found the problem yet nor found it a problem as I may never need to brake that hard

my SA63 with corona rear brakes has shocking brake bias !
it's fun tho but if you're not ready for it the rears will lock up spinning you around pretty quickly

I think he is talking about the front discs as the SA63 and the MA61 are the same, as I borrowed his new spare rotors when I found mine cracked on the MA61...
Anyway from further studying... I discovered that the RA65 and SA63 share the same master brake cylinder (PNC#47201-14460) whereas the MA61 master cylinder is different part number (PNC#47201-240100).
Externally, we (SA63 & myself) compared the 2 cylinders on the 2 cars and they look the same...

I believe that the internals are the same (RA6X/SA63 to MA61), however you will notice that the outlets for the brake lines are mounted in different spots. MA61 have the outlets out the side pointing into the engine bay...I don't recall what RA6X/SA63 have off the top of my head...

From the quote you took from me, I re corrected myself and said that was from Memory on the following post... The externals are most probably different, I have a spare MA61 Master Cylinder here at home but I can't seem to find it to compare to the SA63 side by side. But if I find the master cylinder, I'll take a snap shot of them side by side...

for whoever asked the brake bias is controlled by a proprtioning valve usually on the firewall. usually when upgrading brakes either front or rear the bias will change and sometimes you dont even notice. you can either get a the proprtioning valve PROFESSIONALLY modified (they change the spring in it) or ya can gut it and get an asjustable valve like the wilwood jobs they go for around $130.
i have a few brand new adjustable bias valves if anyones is interested, not wilwood brand tho.
