hey guys, went and saw this today, its a sweet movie for anyone who is into the z boys at all. or just old school skating for that matter. alot of deviate behaviour,girls,sweet old cars etc.
i reccomend going and seeing it.
if some of you dont know who the z boys are then i suggest watchin
DOGTOWN and z boys doco.... they were nutters.

its not just about skating, fair bit of surfing in there too. its about growing up in a tough neighbourhood. the guys in it pretty much defined skating for what it is today.

They pretty much created EVERYTHING we know about skating today. Get the Doco, its really good, and i dont even skate!!
I heard the film is good, but also bites arse a bit in its adaptation into a movie.

yeh as all life stories it suffers a bit when its put into film but the main characteristics are there. and the key points. good to see a camio by tony hawk in it too. who was actually signed up to skating by stacey perolta (one of the z boys) and made him what he is now.

I watched the Dogtown and Z-boys documentary at least 3 times... used to have it saved on my HDD, once.
Damn good story about a bunch of kids that just loved to skate, and accidentally invented/gave birth to modern skateboarding and many other extreme sports as we know them today...
I want to go and see this movie tonight, looks gun. I also noticed Johnny Knoxville got himself in there.... he almost always manages to get himself into these types of moveis....

I just came back from it.
I don't skate and don't surf but the movies was pretty cool.
I went with my friend who isn't really into cars and on the way out she said "they had such awesome cars"
i'd recomend going

Yet another review
Great movie, five thumbs!!
Lots of classic skating moves, good surfing shots, some pretty cool old cars, lots of easy chicks, just the way things should be

good movie i must say, did anyone else notice that jay from the original z-boys was in it?
oh yeah the tony hawk cameo was pretty funny aswell.
karl: that uber talented one was probably jay the one that went loco.
