i wouldnt go any bigger than sum nice 17" by 6.5". lower it a lil roll the gaurds to ensure that theres no rubbing over bumps. should come up nice and neat.
also, depending on colour id go alloy or polished metal. thats my personal preference. but chrome can look good against sum colours.

i've got 16x7's at the moment, and they rub like a bitch, even with stiff suspension and rolled guards. they're too wide. 17x6.5 is the biggest you'll get without problems.

just another thought.
try posting this in tech or general car talk. ull have better luck there. but b4 u do, do a search cause im sure this has been covered b4.
