I need a new job Mon, 29 August 2005 10:34 Go to next message
ok i work at woolies, im an assistant grocery manager (3rd in charge to be exact, but same duties/responsiblities as a 2IC). i work about 60 hours a week which is killing me and jsut burning me out, the only thing keeping me driving on is my car and having the urge to finish the project. i actually earn pretty good money, im on $42k a year which ends up being about $615 a week in the hand but anyway.

anyone out there looking at going into retail managment, DONT its shit.

i cant even begin to imagine what christmas will be like Sad

if anyone wants a job at hornsby woolies on the other hand we have heaps availible, nothing like the shit im doing jsut heaps crusiy work really. hit me up with a PM

Domasik, there are jobs out there worse than yours eg. the dude who has to clean out the spoont bins at the peep shows or being Corona RT142's boss Laughing

Haha good old shitty Woolies, Woolworth's is like a spider's-web, once you're stuck in there, it's hard to get back out, I learnt my lesson with that a few years back, but once you're out it's a huge relief lol.

So in summary: NEVER WORK AT WOOLWORTHS haha!! Very Happy

i'll agree with that the managers that worked at k-mart when i was there were just expected to work whenever they were needed. Ie for stocktake they'd work pretty all day from 6 in the morning to midnight
