hey guys,
just wondering what i should expect powerwhise from my 2tg, just bought it and was wondering should i bother ripping the head off and portin and all that jazz? i got to thinkin that being twin cam twin carb, i will probably be extremely happy with the difference over my stock 4ac ( its going in an ae71 by the way) any help will be appreciated greatly even tips on problems i will run into during the conversion? i will try and get some pics up soon!
cheers

I would imagine you'll be pretty happy with it as is and you wouldn't be able to justify the extra dollars that the next step in performance would cost.
What made you decide to go for the 2TG over the 4AGE?

im told by others that the 2tg is more torquey down low but the main reason i got it is cos i just stumbled on it 4 $100 in a lada niva, some dude converted it to rwd with a hilux lsd, t50 box and mint 2tg with 40mm solexes and all, he moved to qld and left it to his bro who had no idea what a good thing it was, i saw it in a fnt yard in my area and offered $100 to take it away and he went for it! i figured i got a great fuckin deal and i may as well drop it in, looks like a bolt in job
what kw u rekon i shld expect?

Best NA 2TG I know of makes just over 100kW at the wheels.
If you get anything like that, you should be very happy (his thing is a trick motor).

Yeah around 100Kw at wheels from a NA 2TG with lots of money spent on it. A Worked 2TG has to be one of the sweetest sounding motors around.

I've got a 2T-G in my KE70... it takes a bit more than just the motor to install to KE70/AE71, as crossmembers/engine mounts and etc. need to be changed. Let me know if you need more info.
