3" high flow catalytic converter - Where to buy??? Fri, 27 December 2002 04:02 Go to next message
Where can I buy a good quality 3" catalytic converter for a reasonable price? It must be 3" all the way through, no dodgy ones that taper down to 2" on the inlet & outlet.

Any exhuast shop worth it's salt should be able to supply.
Cost comes down to whether you want mild steel or stainless.
Should cost about $350 - $380. I think I paid about $380 for mine.
Cheers.

Actually, I'd be interested to know an approximate price for a mild steel high flow cat of about 2.5" or 3" diameter (probably 2.5" seeing as my engine is NA 2-litre)

$300 from Liverpool exhausts, best option as they have the largest legal diameter for the honeycomb and are true 3 inch, no dodgy enlargemnts.

I got mine, 3" all through, for less than $275 Razz
dont expect to find that again... SSS auto had 8 spares lying around, and were selling them cheap.
I bought 2, sold one to Michael (JAZE on the forums i think).. he might be willing to part with it

I just went into a local exhaust shop here in canberra, offered to pay cash, and they showed me a proper 3" cat which I could have for $250. It was a nice compact unit too, so easy to fit in a small section of exhaust.
