Wait until 2006, then all 2005 complianced cars are discounted.
Some say if you buy around the end of the month you can haggle more
or try http://www.discountnewcars.com.au/Toyota/Toyota-Co rolla-Levin-5Door-Seca.cfm

Here's the range breakdown:
http://corolla.toyota.com.au/TWR/vehicle/FreeText/ 0,4298,462_142,00.html
I know dealers can do the Sportivo for close to $27k with onroads in NSW, which is about $4k less than the advertised price + onroads. Concidering the Levin is $1,000 cheaper, you wouldn't want to pay $32k. Maybe try going to a car broker? Also, any reason why you wouldn't concider the Ultima?
The Sportivo is manual only, which probably isn't for your grandma, the ride is a little firmer, but its no Type-R.
As for the quoted 8.5sec 0-100, stock Sportivo's run the quater mile in close to 15 seconds flat in the hands of a competent driver, which indicates that number is conservative.

Ok, we didnt know about the ultima
Do you know the difference?
I just want my grandmother to have a nice and small, feature packed car. Money is really not much of a object.

I will.
The prius is good for economy and emissions, anything else?
