ok what I really need to know is would adding the S/C require a different computer or a aftermarket job etc
coz I know some cars, ie a R31 skyline using a RB30e 3.0ltr 6cyl, you can add a s/c (which I think is in fact the sc14) without any other mods required. (you can get it in a kit from casltemain rod shop in vic ready to go for $1800). found here
they get a 30% increase at std 10psi.
any ideas what a std gen1 3sge outputs at the flywheel?

your computer will not allow for 10psi of boost in its maps.you will have to either add an injector(which i dont recommend in 2005) or go aftermarket.you can go cheap sometimes, but it usually cost alot more down the track.

T-Vis is (Toyota - Variable induction system), basically has a butterfly which controls the intake, kinda like a Vtec, only doesn't have anything to do with Valves and timing.

ahh sweet....theoretically it should be slightly free-er reving with maybe a smoother pwr curve.
either way it should be an improvement over the stock motor?

T-Vis is part of the stock motor, it revs fine, but up to 4,500 rpm the butterflies will open fully and you should notice a torque increase

Kewl, thanks for the info.
Anyone got anu ideas re the SC12 supercharger? Surely it would be low enuff pressure not to need a aftermarket puter or extra inj etc etc.
Anyone ever done this b4?

sigh... SC doesn't provide boost.
SCprovides volume.
engine not processing the air the SC pushes = boost.
you know the volumes of the SC's, and you know how fast they can spin, so why not just calculate the amount of air required and provided and go from there..

Only problem is where to put the supercharger on the engine. Good luck finding the room for it!
The factory injectors are 370cc? Or 270cc? I dunno, either way they are probably more than enough for something like an SC12.
