3SGE + wolf questions

I have just purchased a ta23 with a 3sge in it. However it is not running, someone stole the wolf 3d ver 3 from it, also fucked up the ignition. So I have a few questions about and what I can and cant do.
1) Go with a ver 3? Is the ver 4 worth it? I might oneday run a supercharger on it(dreams) Would a ver 3 deal with this? I'd rather get a ver 3 due to cost and the fact that I know that it has worked befor.
2) If I do buy a ver 3 what is required to get the car running. I have been recomended Rank rotary to get it tuned as they have done the previous work on it. But is it possible to get it running(rich and all) with just base maps or something?
3) How complex/complicated are all the wolf controls?
Cheers dudes

buy a version 4 they are only $1100 buks and wolf can supply you with a basemap for the 3s so shouldnt be a problem to get it working.

Yeah the main reason I was going for the ver 3 was that I was trying to avoid having to get it rewired, or is the ver 4 purely a hardware and software upgrade? Or are the sensors changed and all.
Cheers

Yeah I might just try and find a second hand ver 3, save a few bones. Seen a couple go for 500 odd in the classifides.
