Upper control arm bolts

Sorting out the suspension on my Corona Mk2, and I need to undo the upper conrtol arm bolts. There is minimal clearance between them and the bodywork, and the manual suggests I use an SST to undo them.
They are on tight, and look like they have never been undone in the last 27 years. I have saturated them with WD40, and have cut down a spanner to get in there a try to undo them (with hammer persuasion) to no avail.
Any helpful hints? Car is non mobile.
Cheers Dave.

whenever i get stuck on a nut or bolt that wont come unstuck i have a long pipe which i use to slip over the end of the wrench or spanner, like a leverage
sst...whats the stand for again...special service tool ?
in the toyota manual i have there is a million sst's and they are all refered to as being sst so they dont really help there only by saying we have a special tool to use that you dont !

SST = special service tool
Yep I have my own very special 4' long piece of 2" water pipe that is my breaker bar extender. Unfortunately, there isn't the room to use it!
Might just bolt it all together and take it to an alignment place and plead ignorance.

dave, car on jack stands, lay under car with pipe, scream, kick and wail about... thats what was required on my rear trailing link bolts in a similar location/relation to body panels etc...
kicking the breaker pipe seems to work a treat...
keep at it, and you just want to cry tears of joy when you hear that ellusive *click*
hehehe

Just to show you what I mean, here is a pic. The bolts are facing inwards towards the inner guard, and there might be 2cm total room behind there. The fancy contraption is the aforementioned SST. Hate to see what one of those costs from Toyota if still available.
Still open to suggestions.
Cheers Dave.

Well after 3 days of constant WD40 soakage, and a few phone calls to alignment places with the end result of laughter, I found a 19 mm dwarf ring spanner. This actually fit in the gap, and, with a little persuasion from a brickie's hammer, I was able to undo the 4 pesky bolts.
Thanks all.

You have a pile of old SSTs?
Where are you? Please say Melbourne.

Um........yeh. kinda.
They're not always put back in their boxes, but, so its kinda hard to find.
Don't get too excited, all the times I've looked for one I needed I've only found he right one a couple of times.
There alot in the pile, but there were HEAPS available. Less so on the newer cars....better design etc. I guess.
Sorry, not Melbourne.
If you want to know more, pm.
