I once had a friend who was in the spare parts industry, he was full of useful information, some of it even rubbed off...I think they are bailie's channel rubbers or something.

don't think any rubber goes in the channel, as the channel is used for the plastic guides that are on the metal that bolt onto the ends of your window. If these runners are worn, or missing it will rattle.

thanks for the infor but its for the front windows (drivers/ passengers)
What i ended up doing was buying one of those plastic breadboards and cutting them into small pieces with a docking saw. then i grinded them down with the grinder tool thing(whatever its called) then i filed them and wet and dry sanded them, looks 95% like the origionals.
Take that toyota im not gonna pay $14 for each little bit of rubber.
Thanks
Daniel

Having just pulled apart an refitting the windows on my 23 i have a fairly good idea how they work. They are little plastic blocks that bolt on to the metal bit on the glass which slide within your channel. I have found that the window can easily slide when you have not adjusted your window channels properly. Try this before you replace the parts just make sure its all nice and tight and i found that i was able to stop any rattles in my windows.
