There was a place in Odaiba (in Tokyo) which seemed to be Toyota orientated.

LOL, i just went there Razz Tokyo Megaweb and History garage. is where i got the 3KR pics.. was a little dissapointing tho, expectd more cars.. the 2000GT is a sexy beast in real life.. i'd take one over an E-type anyday.

Do you know what the reverse engineering of the Delage created? I suppose it was for the mechanicals, cos if Toyota produced a car that looked like that, It'd be pretty famous.

and the Toyopet SA is real 50's stuff, hints of early VW, Willys and Bristol.

Actually the Delage was more of a general style inspiration.

I'll eventually get round to making a page of my visit to the Toyota Amulaux in Tokyo.

Totally agree, i have to go to Japan and visit some of these places Very Happy

Loved the 2000GT, RA28, TA22 (owned one of these) and naturally the AW11s Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

There was a 2000gt there??? aargh Crying or Very Sad All I could see were WRC Celicas and Racing Supras.

It was late at night so they were packing up...but shit! Sad

i was in Nagoya earlier this year, took some photo's but i ran out of damn batteries about half way round. loved the museum, it was awesome. also i did the toyota factory tour which was great, even if the only day i could organise to go was japanese guided so didn't understand any of what was said. took some pics of the new model cars in the showroom before the tour but weren't allowed to take photo's in the factory itself.

forget the sprinter, thats common compared to the convertible 2000GT. one of only 2 ever made for one of the james bond films back in the day (you only live twice???)
