TNT isn't bad, give 'em a call. Got a quote for a car from Perth to Melbourne: $500 including insurance. So should be less than that.

That's from PERTH to MELBOURNE for a CAR.
A Bike from Melbourne to Sydney would be significantly less, I'm thinking less than $200.
Ring TNT Logistics and ask.

Hey dude try Rod Pilon Transport, they have depots all over Australia, call the Melbourne depot, and tell them you want to send the bike to their Sydney depot. You can then pick it up from the Sydney depot or it can be delivered.
Here's the Melbourne depot number: (03) 9369 2877.
They might tell you to ring the Dubbo depot instead because that's the headquarters for the company, but the guy in Melbourne should be able to say yes or no either way, and how much.
Good luck.

when i picked up my import from the toll depot i remember seeing bikes bascially strapped onto a pallett in which case i imagine if it was palletised and wrapped up any company should be able to take it.. even if it wasnt specifically a automotive transport mob it would bacially just be a couple of hundred kilo palette on the forklift.

Yeah it's possible to send a car with no engine or a car that just doesn't run for whatever reason, but the specialised vehicle transport companies like TNT, Toll, etc. will charge more because they can't just drive the vehicle on/off the trailer, it has to be pushed or winched on or whatever.
Sometimes with a car that doesn't run you'd be better off to get just a general freight transport company to take it, as sometimes they need a bit of puss freight or bits and pieces to make a full load, so say if they had a b-double and the b-trailer only had half a load on it then they can throw a car on the back of the trailer and it makes it a full load for them.
Where are you sending the car to Poh? Or are you recieving it?
