MX83 Intercooler install...with ABS?

Hey guys, wondering how people went about routing pipes on their MX83 aftermarket coolers? Mine has ABS but that will change soon...but even so, if i remove the ABS and cut a hole through the front panel for a smoother pipe transition, i'll have to move the battery to the boot to do it on the other side.
The torsion bar mounts will only allow a 2.5" pipe to pass through the route i can use atm, but with my cheapo GTR size (you know the ones), the piping has to come all the way back on itself to fit.
Anyone who has installed a cooler on a MX83 with ABS and has pics is my friend in other words lol.
Oh...if i have to curve the pipe all the way back on itself basically (3" pipe) will that make any if all difference to flow?

Thanks southo, thats yet enother route i hadnt thought of. Are you going to use one of those 'invisible batteries' ive heard so much about? hehe
I think it will be okay with the tight bend...im using sectioned pieces of 3" tube cut at various angles, very japanese (tezuka jzx-81 in fact)  Dont know how it will flow, but should look tough!

Very nice Southo! It seems you have all the info you need Troy?
Email if I can help.I found 2.5" a squeeze but my cooler required a route out and in by the bottom radiator corners.Didnt require any body mods though.Cheers.Pete.

Yep, thanks guys...i'm doing what pete said, anyone know how much some 2.5" and 2.75" alloy tubing will cost me and where from (mail order hopefully)? The 4foot of 3" aircraft stuff i got cost me $100!
