Guys shortly I will be buying my TA22 Celica and I cannot afford to have 3 vehicles on the road, so Iam looking at the Concessional registration where if a car is over 30 years of age, you can get cheap rego & ctp. Iam located in Ipswich (Brisbane) and I was told by RTA I have to join a club to be able to do this, does tomods come under this even though it is in NSW or should I look else where ? Also will I be able to go on tomod cruises ? Does anyone else have this kind of rego and is it worth it.
I think you're talking about "Club rego". You'd have to join a car club that offers this for it's members. There are of course restrictions with club rego. You have to contact the club's secretary (or whoever runs the rego) and let them know you'll be driving the car and where you're going. You can only drive a certain distance from your home. 8-10km or thereabouts.
You can only drive the car on club days on weekends to club events and such.
Quite restrictive really but very cheap for the rego and insurance.
