Anyone got tips to make paint match?

I got the paintcode off the plate in the engine bay and got some made up. The thing is the paint is faded so the newly sprayed stuff sticks out very annoyingly. Is there a way to get it to blend better? Also what kind of clearcoat should I spray over the top?

clearcoat is clearcoat. Its all about the clearcoat, and how good you can polish, clearcoat makes the paint shine but makes it sorta fade in, in a way. Polishing is where its at. 1200W&D and cutting compound will be how you will get it to match.

And for future reference, the best time to spray clear is within 5 minutes of finishing your top coat.

Two ways to make paint match:
1. get someone who's been doing it for years to mix the paint
2. respray the car
