Who makes 8K 5 inch Tacho's. Mon, 12 September 2005 07:05 Go to next message
Ok

I'm looking for a tacho for the crown. I'm going to pull out the clock nad put a tacho in.

After a lot of searching on the net it seems that all big tachos have a scale to 10 grand. I'm not ever going to need that so i don't want ot on the guage.

What im after is a white on black guage that has a last measurement of 8000 rpm and is 5' in diameter.

Anyone know of a company that makes what I'm after.

Or can some one suggest a tacho from another car that would do the job.

I'm pretty sure my tacho is 5" (I Assume you didn't mean 5 foot (') ) and it goes to 10 grand, and it's autometer (autogage series). It's white on black though, but I think you can get them the other way around.

i have an old revolution racegear catalogue here - theres a 5 inch one thats black numbers on white face that goes to 9 grand in their sport comp series - its mounted in a " monstor teacho " type pod but i guess it could be modified out

Come and talk to me. I have a few old smiths tachos that would look more in place that autocrap. Just add to the beer bill.

Toyota did. Just pull one out of a shitbox TA22, adjust the variable resistor and you're set.

Only the TA22 tacho has the variable resistor. Also, TA22 writing matches the MS55 speedo.
