1jz/2jz automatic transmissions

How similar are the auto's between the two engines? The 1jzgte and the 2jzgte? I would assume the tailshafts to be different, but other than that are they the same tranny? Looking at the JZA70 and JZA80 models. Thanks-

dont know the 1jzgte tranny code is but the 2jzgte is E340 if it matchs they are the same

I'm not sure about the 2jz but the 1j in a Soarer uses a A340E
|

My Aristo (2JZ-GTE) came with an A340E. It's for sale too if anyone is interested.

The 2JZ and 1JZ use the same auto, A340E.
Norbie, are you referring to the gearbox for sale, or do you actually have a 2JZ-GTE Aristo for sale ?
If it's the latter, I'm quite keen.
