i am thinking of going to melbourne for the weekend.
just because i can really
anyone know about how long the drive would be?
and how far it is?
also anything worth doing for a day?

should take you an at absolutely max. 8-9 hours would be normal. about 850km i believe

if u wana come down to victoria, main attractions i know of is crown, for their entertainment and casino
the clubs, pubs and other night venues around.
if u want to knwo whats hot and whats not do a search on google theres a site which explains it all
be wary of:
the ghey weather
the crap roads
have fun though!
PS: Wouldn't it be cheaper to fly down here and take public transport around? if u're gona be in the city u mightaswel get a map of the tram routes to see where u're going and fly down, especially with petrol prices soaring!

the roads here arnt crap. i find them to be capable of taking speeds much higher then the speed limit safly.
i done the drive before, its a real drainer. its so boring driving in aust. cant speed, straight line...
in europe u go quik, get a bride ready for when u get pulled over, and u have the entertainment factor of dodging oncoming trafic as they overtake a truck/bus, lol.
the melbourne show is on this weekend! theres also the night clubs/pubs. theres the beer gardens, but prob gonna b too cold to spend the night outside.

you forgot the usual suspect radar revenue locations..
15km either side of Horsham without fail will always have a radar piggy oinking..
about 5km out of Nhill as well..
theres a big flyover somewhere between the Mouldy Koala and Ararat where theyre always lying in wait behind an advertising sign.. watch that spot.. oh speaking of ararat, do 50 through there! theyll book you there for even looking at them with ricer eyes..
just remember mainly that the speed limit in vic is 100km wheras SA its 110.. and they WILL book you because theyre dirty revenue raising dogs nothing more.
oh yeah and if u think the adelaide-mel drive makes ur ass sore.. try doing the nullarbor..  (ive done that 5 times)
