where in tassie are you from? i'm from newnham (launceston) and drive and ae93 sx rolla though it is currently off the road for a few weeks due to a stupid queenslanded in a huge 4wd that rearended me. luckily it was only parts such as the hatch and tail lights that were damaged so they can be easily replaced.

Hey all toy fans,
I'm new here and new on the road but I love my "82 Rona.
It's been set up to rally but I'm after a fair chunk of extra power to get that nice edge of drift on the blacktop in the dry. Evil or Very Mad
any suggestions for upgrades or replacement engines?
I'm looking to have around 350-400 horses by the time the car is completed. (bit of a rolling job, but fun.)
Any help appreciated.
P.S. When will there be a meet down in Launceston?

hey xennex and everyone else, since people keep asking about cruises i thought id let those who didnt already know about the hobart cruise club, i know many of us on here are already members, but anyway if you are after a pretty good social cruise join up, also if your after track days join H.J.P they hire out baskerville occasionally for some fun, or join both Very Happy
www.hobartcruiseclub.com is the place to go to join. for members up north you can also join, we are doing a cruise that goes over the march long weekend, leaving hobart and going up through launy, staying the night in dev and then going down through the west back to hobart followed by a short cruise around there. details are on the site anyway.
over n out, aidan

I'll keep an eye out for your car! is it the white ke70 with chrome wheels in your picture? I read in your signature 'supercharged ke70' do you have a 4agze? i'd be quite keen to check it out some time!

pics of my car can now be found here:

http://forums.toymods.org.au/index.php?t=msg&t h=28923&start=0&rid=255&S=d45a9d9e974a 075d205730867ce0a148

I raced the bloke in launny with the silver cs ae92 hatch, big wheels and yellow auto meter sticker on drivers door the other day and won by a fair bit with my stock small port 4age. i was later talking to him and he thought i must have had a 4agze Smile

Also, went to hobart a couple of weekends back and went around with a big pack of burnout hooligans Smile was a bit of fun to watch and hobart college was covered in a huge haze of smoke. I rekon there was approx 100 people there at first!

There are a bloody lot of ET pulsars in launny! got a pic of yours? i'll keep an eye out for it. I'd havn't had a chance to line up next to one at the lights but i'd be interested to see how quick they actually are. Any idea of 0 - 60 times or 0 - 100 times for the et pulsar?

http://www.users.bigpond.net.au/nickhay/
Standard et pulsar is 16.4 over the 1/4 mile.
Mine runs 13psi boost and a relocated AFM.
But i have never run it over the 1/4 mile myself.
I do have a t25 turbo and intercooler for it but I might be using it on the corolla as the supercharging idea is not going to plan.

I didn't notice till i looked at your rolla pics that you were supercharging a 4k! That is rather interesting, i just suspected that you would have the A series crossmemer from an ae70 and used a 4agze!

I am originally from penguin so i may have seen your car around. what does it look like? I would be quite keen to meet up and go to the drags, when is the next drag meet?

Is your car the one that was for sale a couple of months back with the black top 20 valve and auto gear box? I think it was for sale in devonport.

Hey Guys
Checked this part of toymods out for the first time, only ever bothered with the tech section and forsale section.

Im in hobart, Im also a member of hobart toyota and HJP although I dont post that offten.

I now own 3 corollas, 2 KE20s, and a KE35 Coupe.
Im currently doing a 100kw 4age conversion into one of my Ke20s
its maroon, gold hot wires & tinted windows its been off the road for some time now though. I have a jap import engine, custom mandrel bent headers, and a fully engineneered cut down sprinter diff, with disc brakes (not drums) also other struts with large disc brakes not sure what they are out of but they have been made to bolt straight in, incorperating (spelling) the larger stud pattern too.

I crashed my other KE20 and bent the chassie (hit the gutter) like u jonny (sorta) not sure what Im doing with it yet.

I bought the KE35 off brad from HJP I believe jonny you may have owned it at some stage? Im putting my 3k in it with a big port head. Hey jonny did it have a twincam in it at some stage? coz the alternator plug is on the drivers side and not the passengers, I'll have to extend the cable and run it around the engine bay.

Well that me for now lol sorry about the novel.

Cheers Kieran

Can't say I've seen many of your cars around! Shame that... I recently got my hands on a stock KE70 and I'm looking to waste some money on it. I like the look of yours NickZ... Are you turbo'ing the original 4K-C lump?

I've been thinking of importing a RWD 4A-GE... Need the funds for that though.

At the moment my car is as stock as the made them... Ex-gran's car... It only had 67,000k on the clock. It even came with veneishan blinds on the rear window Very Happy

Does anyone down in hobart know of the white AE93 Seca SX with number plates custom plates "EVILSX" I saw it on friday in town. The body kit was nearly to much (lookwed good from behind) but it sounded sooo nice. Is this guy a member on the forums? Anyone know?

hi, im in melbourne, but originally from hobart. im down with my 184 every xmas, and in hobart a few times a year in between. ive been and done baskerville and loved the track, maybe next im down we should organise something? a cruise at least.

nowadays the scene down there is getting good, i know a few nice cars that go on cruises from hungry jacks. usually night cruises of course. i think most of them are with HJP.

hey Nickz, i have seen your rolla around a bit lately and also you pular out the front of a place in invermay. is the rolla still supercharged? how's it going?

I remember the 'evelsx' seca from back in 2002 when i spent a year living in Hobart, the rolla to look out for in hobart is a white ae82 sedan with a 'trd racing development' sticker on the back window and a very small turbo badge on the boot lid which looks to be from a silvia. i did a bit of research and found that it has a 4efte from an ep82 gt starlet, and it used to have a 20 valve silver top!

yeah I am from hobart
Just doing suspension and brakes in the celica at the moment, Coilovers, Hilux 4spots and vented and slotted discs, I also put king springs in the back and a genie canon muffler (rice i know but i love it), I will setup the rear end properly when i put the hilux diff in it.

just Want to get everything setup in the car and then a new motor will go in it, I am thinking 13b turbs but as it goes totally against my religion i might take another plan of attack

I've seen your orange aw11 around a bit. is it aus spec? 4age or gze? I was trying to line you up in my old SX once but you were speeding through the city and got away Smile I will have a new car arriving from japan very soon. It's an ae92 FX GT hatch, similar to the aus spec sx hatch but with only 2 doors, this one was a steel as it had a gen 70,000kms, was fully optioned, non-accident history and 1 non-smoker owner.

Yeah i'm in launny, i lived in Hobart in 2002 and might come back next year. Was actually in Hobart on the weekend with the new rolla, what's the go with cruises around hobart now? what clubs & how often? probably not worth having big cruises anymore due to these bloody anti-hoon laws Sad

looks good, any plans for this one? a supercharged 2tg would be nice Smile

I saw a corolla in Mowbray a couple of days ago that reminded me of your previous project. It was a fluro green ke30 (maybe ke50) that had a sticker on the back that said 'rally 4kze'. I was tempted to stop and talk to the owner although i didn't.

2 door flatback? ae86 sprinter?

another interesting ke55 getting around launny that you most likely know of is the dark red one with the plates PSI055. I did a bit of research and found that it is a 4agze and is on about the 8th owner and 3rd shell Very Happy

if you know of anyone selling a ke35 sing out, im after parts.

the 262 is the lowest power, highest emitions control engine.
it has an offcentre combustion chamber, and offcentre pistons.

i have a couple of EFI manifolds, but im not getting rid of them as yet.

maybe soon though.

what computer are u using

also i think the solexes need a mojor clean out
