Answer to Question 1, If it has two bolts holding a small plate on, then that is where some 1J's mount an oil level sender.

Plate is approx 40mmx40mm 4 bolts.

Yeah that would be where the oil level sender is mounted.

Yep, oil level sender is 4 bolts, and approx those dimensions.

Thanks, I have enough wires to reroute now without an oil level light.
Question about mounts, The two I have are A1, but thought I'd price them before I made up special mounts for them for my engine swap. Got a new price from Castle Hill Toyota, $260 each. I can set conversion up with much cheaper items, the JZX100 ones are listed in for sale if anyone needs them.

Chaser and Soarer/Supra mounts are somewhat different
Soarer/Supra only have one central large bolt to subframe instead of the two smaller ones on the Chaser
