at what temp range do your thermo fan swtiches work?
ive got (i think) 85deg on, 82deg off but find the fans are on longer than they should be. can anyone suggest a better temp range that will keep the fans off while driving yet wont cook my engine?
thanx

I got mine hooked up to run whenever the engine is running.
Mine is a twin turbo tho so it needs a bit extra cooling than a NA engine.
With my exhaust being 3" i can only hear the twin craig davies while at idle. See if there is a temp sensor and just hook it up to that if you don't want it running constantly.

(Even though it's a 4A) I've adjusted mine to come on at 95deg C, as the Toyota thermostat I recently put in it is rated to open at 82-95deg C (first 'stat I've heard of that comes in a range, every other one I've seen is just a single temp).
I only had the idea to adjust it recently while I was sitting in the car waiting for some oil flush to work it's way through & starting watching the temp on my ecu handset.
It made it nice & easy to adjust it to come on at a higher temp, as it was coming on pretty early. Although I hardly have over heating problems with my small motor & largish (for the motor anyway) cooling system.
