quickie: where to Tee boost gauge line to? (3SGTE) Fri, 16 September 2005 17:04 Go to next message
teeing a line in to go to a bodgy boost gauge (blitz dual turbo timer crap thing). 3SGTE.
my choices are:
between manifold and wastegate. pro, what the turbo sees, cons, if it farks up.. turbo not happy.
between manifold and stock BOV. pros.. smaller diameter line, less pain if it farks up... cons.... will look messy as the line is just "hangin out there"
MAP sensor is on manifold and i wouldn't feel good T7ing to that anyway.

does it really make any difference?? in terms of functionality of the components, or problems from failure?

Cya, Stewart

i would go to the factory BOV line.... that way you see manifold pressures after the intercooler.

Just be sure to cable tie/clamp all joints really well.

Thanks Witzl,
yar i was going to use factory practice of clamping the buggers tight.

fwiw, the wastgate line is also post IC... there is basically only a couple of inches between turbo and IC inlet anyway..

or should i say IW Wink

thanks for the advice.
