Howdy,
Im having a few problems with my newly purchased MA61.......
My heaterbox is leaking dramatically, does toyota still sell factory heaterboxes?
And it drinks the fuel (61L - 380km)is that normal?
And im keen to replace all the external rubbers on my car. Any1 know of rubber kits available?
All comments please.....

Ya, still has 5M-E
Has a light end engine knock but still drives well.
Needs a 2JZ-GTE.......
Do the W58's hold decent power or do they require some work?

Probably, but it would cost an arm and a leg.
Your options:
1. Bypass the heater circuit (what I did). Cheapest and easiest solution. The downside of course is you no longer have a heater, but with summer just around the corner, who cares?
2. Second-hand heater core. Note you can use a xA6x Celica core so it will be easy to find one at the wreckers. You will be taking a risk though, it's hard to tell if the new one is knackered as well!
3. Get your existing core reco'd. Any radiator shop can do this.
Note that the entire dash has to come out to get at the heater core. Set aside a whole day to do this.

not true
outlets point in totally different directions
plus, i sure wouldnt want the pain of pulling the dash apart to put a 2nd hander in.
read top link - toyota wants about $500 new

replace core with 150W 12V heater from Jaycar? may require some re-wiring to suit increased current draw on the fan or access circuits - at the worst you may need a newer alternator.

Ya i know that they are great drift vehicles, but id love to do something different.
The wheel base is a few inches longer and its a few inches wider than a 86, and its pretty light for a 6 cyl....
Should be sweet

It must be noted that to be a fullsic MA61 drift driver, you must first acquire (or have in the past possessed) a Mullet of fantastic proportions...
I rest my case.
