All custom dude is the final answer. Don't mean to be mean, but search this one....it really has been done to death.

You potentially could use those GA70s but it would need a lot of work. Talk to your engineer and see what he wants you to do....GA70 rotors are 280mm (or so), and 302 Falcons had 287mm rotors...he may stipulate that the brake diameter is at least that.

rightio...thanks for that. keeping toyota brakes on another supra would be preferable..ill find out what is best...either from my engineer or from someone whos done a similar convo onto a ma61, if they all seem the same amount of trouble i will take what i can get at the right price :)Brakewise its probably the most important part of the convo...stiff bickies if you cant stop the car...so ill have to do it properly. Mk3 turbo supras would seem the easiest conversions but then again i may be wrong!! DId ma70 use same brakes as jza70 and ga70?

MA70 is a bit bigger....300mm front rotors. GA70 rotors are almost identical to earlyish Tarago rotors.

The unfortunate problem is that the later model Supras had setups that aren't even remotely like the Mk2. I've asked this question before, do a search on that.

Your engineer won`t ask you to put on bigger brakes. As long as the standard 1`s are in top order!

really? Nice...as long as i can stop the thing...how much are the brakes worth for a pair? How much should i be paying for them if i am asked to change them...surely ga70 would do? Thats bigger and better than an ma61 arent they? Frank ive spoken to you before, Im in brisbane, i was going to do a 1jz conversion.I found two 1jzs for $400 complete with parts...both were fuckt in the bottom end...spun big end bearings..ive looked around to no real avail so i Changed my mind when i found a 302 done up going very cheap and having someone to help me install it at no cost...good enough reason for me to get it!!

Speak to an engineer before you do anything. Chances are you won't be required to touch your brakes at all. I consulted an engineer before I started my project, and he said my existing brakes are fine.
