silly question and not very important, just curios, what those "P" badges means in some of yours cars?
I believe that those have something to do with drivers age, but what?
We had "80" badge for new drivers, but it's not in use anymore. We had to keep that badge a year in back of the car and maximum speed was 80km/h what we were allowed to drive.

P = Probationary
You have to wear it for the first 2-3 years of license, depending on state

In QLD u didn even have to wear an L plate till recently. They are introducing compulsory P plates for provisional licence holders too within 18 months. Glad im on my opens already and have never had a plate on my car ever...
Aparently tho you can get booked for having an L plate on if you are not a learner driver. Anyone else heard anything to that effect???

Tis true parents can be fined if they still have their kids plates though, really depends on the mood of the copper though, generally they'll probably let you off and just have a laugh at a 50 year old wearing p-plates.

You guys all have it wrong...
P plates are actually "Pull me over" plates. They invite a copper to come along, pull you over, and "extract" money from your arse.

I was (based on observation) under the impression for a while that it related to brain activity;
