hmm, how do i find this out.... this engine came out of an MZ20 soarer, which came out of something else?? will it be stamped on the ecu, or should i be looking for serial numbers?

Part number on the ECU will be the best way to tell.

if you just give me your e-mail addy I can shoot the diagrams off to you,and you can see if they're useful. number of plugs and size of plugs is also a helpful identifier

I'm guessing thats JZA70, coz is not the same as JZZ30

thanks for the reply guys..... those diagrams have been excellent... to go with them tho, would anyone happen to have the diagram that describes the input wires... ie, the power supply to the ECU??

They are on that diagram, the switched power ones are the ones through the main relay, there there is ignition, and there is constant power (BATT).

does anyone have a wiring diagram for the 1JZ ecu, so i can do this without sparks.
