Hey dude, im just about to buy a HKS one from the states from Suprasport, they sell the 1.2mm ones for about $120US, which is friggin cheap. WHere are you at? If anyone else or yourself is interested we could order a few at once and save on shipping. You can also get the apr head studs and all sorts of other goodies from em too, i know i am Wink

if you use a metal HG, make sure you prepare the head and block correctly (sonic lapping is preffered method some people, or some good ol Hylomar) otherwise it will not seal any better than a composite HG.

Hmm, this is interesting. I didnt realize i would have to remove the block from the car as well and get it lapped for the metal gasket!!! I already have a graphite one from a kit that looks alright, i might just get some apr bolts and torque it down nice, get the head machined though. Would this be ok you rekon? i dont wanna run more than about 12psi.

Head machined and clean the block up and go with a Genuine Toyota gasket and some ARP`s and you wont have any issues with 12psi

Between the 3 of my 7M`s im running a mixture of new Genuine Toyota and HKS - GREDDY MHGs

i bought a mono-torque kit, this has the gasket in it too, looks the same as a genuine toyota one. Will this not be as good? TOyota didnt do real good on the gasket to start with! Razz lol.

Toyota has revised the gasket about 3 times now since the original gasket used in the late 80`s and half the issue was the factory torque setting rather then the gasket.

If i wasnt going to used a MHG i personally wouldnt touch anything but the Genuine gasket.
