Just would like to know has anyone put an ex adjustable cam gear on a 1jz-gte vvti engine? If so which one did u use?
I have been looking everywhere for one but there isnt a cam gear that is specific for the vvti's ?
I have been looking at the JUN adjustables but have been told that they it does not specify its use on a vvti soarer but only for the 1jz TT.... hmmm... is the ex cam gears the same between the 2 motors?
I used a standard TT cam gear to make a special cam sensor pickup which then fitted directly to the VVTi exhaust cam gear so I would say they are the same.
For 1JZ-GTE, non-VVTi intake and exhaust camgear is the same as a VVTi exhaust camgear, so any aftermarket adjutsable camgear made for the non-VVTi will fit the VVTi exhaust camshaft.
