I just read somewhere that the different coloured light isn't because of the Xenon globe, but actually because of the Projector style housing it's mounted in... Im keen to see if this is the case! Everyone loves the funky different colours!

The lites will priject a different colour depending on what k they are, which is the colour temp!
But i think the "dip" effect is what u mean, where they are inthe projector housing and as you look at them on different levels they kinda change...... whereas when u use a stock H4 reflector i think they just stay the one colour!?!?!
I will test this for you! on my mates and unexpecting drivers! hahah!

Yeah, thats what im talking about... The DIP effect. I've noticed the latest calais/statesman's do it too and they dont use HID's either. Maybe I should look into getting my hands on some projector type lenses. I've seen them somewhere on the net in standard 7" round size.

Guys unless you have "proper" OEM HID projector optics retrofitted say from an E46 BMW, or Audi you will never achieve the illumination these types of lighting systems are meant to provide.
Also reflector style headlight arrangements such as those found on SW20 MR2's, GENIII, IV and V Preludes are the worst types of housings for HID's as they do not control the light beam and create an immense amount of glare for oncomming motorists.
I'm not trying to discourage anyone from buying and fitting these kits. I'm simply providing info about the proper way to use the HID lighting technology.

Oh i have no doubt that your new purchase will provide way more light than your old halogen set up.
Its just your reflector set up will allow a huge amount of what is called "light leakage". Which means some of the light is going to places other than the road. (not a real biggie, just not as good as it could be).
Anyway congrats on the purchase and install.
Can't wait to see the pics
