1UZ ignition curve Tue, 20 September 2005 02:29 Go to next message
I am setting up a 1UZ on straight gas,

Does any one know what the ignition curve should look like, as I am intending to make an ignition only computer to control the coils.

Thanks.

Should go from about 20degrees to about 35degrees at redline.
But it depends on quality of fuel.
Gas is probably different too.

Gas is only slightly different, basically the same curve but in a narower band.
I am just after a base line to work from really.

20deg BTDC at idle! I thought around 10 or so?
Full load/rpm sounds right at 35.

10 is only when you set the timing.
Unbridge the connectors and it will jump to 15-18.
