hmm i have a spare 4K and K50 (still joined), sitting in my garage, I'll see if i can find a scale that will go high enough.. The gearbox and motor together can be easily lifted by me and my brother, so I'd say it wouldnt be much more than 50-70kg...

Dude, trust me. You'll never have much luck with trying to find engine weights. Noone knows or is willing to answer! I'm very interested in the results! Thankyou phrostbyte!!
Thanks

I am guessing more than 70kg. Closer to 100kg. It seemed pretty heavy when we werw getting mine out. Whoops, actually that was a 5k but I can't imagine there would be a huge difference.

an 4age 16v bigport weighs in at about 100-110kg
u think the k sereis boxes weigh as much as t/c 1600?
16v plus t50= 130kg approx
try lifting your gearbox again?!
