Im wondering if any of you guys can help me, what's the difference between an RA28 celica and a TA28 celica?
Also which model has the straight bumber not the wrap around one like on ta22's?

Hi,
I think a TA28 would be identical in shape to the RA28 except it would have the 2T series engine, whereas the RA28 would have the 18R series engine - assuming there was a TA28 - 'cos I can't remeber if there was or not.
Also, not sure about your bumper question. Are you referring to the front or rear bumper? Be more specific.

Hi,
Ahhhh... you could be right with those USA spec fucking awful pieces of shit they call bumber bars, with the big ugly rubber bits stuck onto them.
I s'pose that's why just about every person in the USA who owns an old Celica is always on the look out for chrome smiley bumpers to replace the ugly crap they're got.
I think there was a TA28. Remember, Google is your friend.

There is a TA28 and it is similar to the RA/TA23 in terms of its differences.
Mainly being the engine and driveline
The TA28 is a povo pack JDM item. It came in LT and ST flavours only.
It also went to europe in the ST flavour
and went to france in the ST and GT flavours (however I would guess it would be similar to the American GT that has all the pretty GT bits but none of the good ones ie upgrade interior)
Besides who would want to give the french the mighty 18R-G anyway.

These are the two different bumper types I am aware of
Fuggly
Chrome goodness
Telling us where you are might be a help as different countries got different bumpers and if your looking at a TA28 I doubt you are in Australia (if you are let me know precicly where the TA28 is..... )

The ta27 is also very similar. Comes with the absolutely beautiful 5 slot tail lights like the ra25 tho.
