NOT JUST A DRIFT PROJECT - ITS A LIFESYTLE 86 STYLE! Fri, 23 September 2005 05:38 Go to next message
Hey there boys and Girls.

Everyone loves pics or cars and stuff and drift.. so i thought why not. POST IT!

A mate of mine bought an 86, i drove it once.. and needed to get one.
so i did. In late Feb 05 i found this dream in Melbourne, so i flew over and drove it back to the drift state.

- I tell you what.. COMPLETE GRANNY SPEC.. seems a shame to drift it. - but hey.

A few months have past.. and i just thought .. LETS DRIFT THIS THING.

So i have decided to post my before and after of the SA
Furious-D Drift 86.

The plans are: Surprised Rolling Eyes Evil or Very Mad

4agze (which i have brought already - pics to come) with overdrive kit.
Strip it
CUSCO RS 2 way LSD ( on its way from VISION R)- picks commin)
Roll Cage
W55 Gearbox.
RACEFLOW Exhaust
struts back and front
Coilovers
BRAKE UPGRADES

. Very Happy

I have attached the pics of the car, from where i just got it and it was sitting in its old drive way in Melbourne.

and when i get the Pics of the donk and the progress. ill also post them.

Im really new to the drift racing GETUP.. so if anyone has any hot tips on building a drifter.. LET ME KNOW! PLEASE!

go to www.imageshack.us and host them, then you can either copy the link for the thumnails and post it, if you do this use option one as they work.
Or go to the bottom once hosted where it says direct link to pic copy the link, then click on the bottom in the tool bar 4th from the right insert pic one open it paste the link and then it will add it. Wink

Okay...

I bought some essentails today... The New OBX Racing Seats and Harnesses - im not going to put pics of the seats up.. becase they are not that interesting ..

However . what is more dodgy ass funny that intersting is the custom made seat rails that Me and Mick managed to make-up out of the original seat rails.. Kids dont try this yourself.. you could make a real mess..

Just like we did. and for this reason.. i have decided that only the drivers seat will slide back and forth... the passanger is going to be fixed.

Also.. ive put up some picks of the new donk.. the 4azge.

HEY GUYS!

Just a word of warning! something l learnt about diff's and LSDs

Make sure that when you buy your t-18 diffo from the local wrecker.. make sure that the drums can easily be removed and that you can spin the axles by hand with no issues..

I forgot that part..

now im up for new carrier and axle bearings... another $600 later to have the great guys at SA RACE put it all together for me. my diff was soo rusted up it was not funny..

ah well you learn...
