you cannot sell these plates unless they are attatched to a car. you can only sell fully customised plates, not regular plates with selected lettering. i know this cause i tried to sell my DRF73R plates  now they are getting around on my bro's KE70

Well you must have asked them the wrong question. Only full custom plates are sellable. If you're paying $400/year for these - then you can sell them. If you're not, find a family member with an ae86....
